We set off on Friday headed for Central Queensland and made it to Goomeri for the night. We had visited Goomeri when we lived in Gympie - it has excellent antique shops. We stayed at the Showgrounds and were recommended to dine at the Grand Hotel which had been recently refurbished with beautiful antique furniture, good service and excellent food well presented. Joe's restaurant the equal of any fine city restaurant. The celebration out of the way we then drove to Dysart on Saturday - late arrival. Our grandaughter Madelaine enjoyed our company for her third birthday on Sunday. We intend spending a few days in Dysart til later in the week.
